A process of bringing people in conflict together to explore resolution. Mediation can look different, depending on the needs of the parties. The constant, however, is that every mediation will include confidentiality, a trusted neutral, and an exploration of the causes, concerns and possible solutions to the conflict. Whether the parties are in the same room, on a virtual platform or working asynchronously, participants should be prepared to be challenged in the exploration of resolutions in a safe environment.
A process of bringing people together, virtually or in-person, to promote improved understanding of issues and exploration of causes, impacts and actions that can be taken to address the issues. Various models of facilitation exist to provide structures of engagement. Whether it be collaborative models for problem-solving or facilitating difficult conversations, each process will reflect the needs of the clients.
